Evan was born in California but raised all over the US. She attended Colorado State University where she earned a bachelor degree in Integrated Liberal Arts. She worked in physical therapy as a physical therapy technician for 3 years prior to PA school. She attended Case Western Reserve University where she earned a masters of science in Physician Assistant studies. She has been practicing as a PA for 5 years. She enjoys traveling and diving as much as possible. She also enjoys all the fun outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.
Paul started his educational journey as a military intelligence specialist in the US Army where he served 6 years active duty including one tour of service in Iraq. His passion and dedication to community service motivated him to obtain his master’s degree in clinical psychology from University of Denver in 2013 and a second master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from South College in 2021. He is dedicated to serving his community through empathic and patient-centered medical and psychiatric services. Paul’s expertise as a Veteran and Physician Associate gives him the clinical foundation to provide services tailored to individual patient needs specializing in men’s health issues, LGBT care, sexual health and function, PREP, male hormone disorders, HIV management, weight loss services, nutrition and weight loss counseling, psychiatric care, and mental health services.
Megan was born and raised in Louisiana, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University. With eight years of experience in critical care, Megan continued her education at Chamberlain University, earning a Master of Science in Nursing and transitioning to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She currently provides compassionate primary care for patients aged five and up while also pursuing her passion for aesthetic medicine.
Since moving to Colorado in 2017 with her husband and their dog, Freya, Megan has expanded her focus to include advanced aesthetic treatments that empower patients to look and feel their best.
Megan is passionate about combining her medical expertise with her artistic eye to deliver personalized, evidence-based care. Whether helping patients maintain their health in primary care or boosting confidence with aesthetic treatments, her approach is rooted in education, mutual respect, and a commitment to results.
John began his career in Medicine in 2002 after completing his Masters of Science Degree and Physician Assistant Certification from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. John is a native of Colorado who enjoys living in Denver and giving back to the community that has helped him throughout his academic career. He thrives in clinical medicine and is patient focused with quality healthcare as a foundation. He enjoys the rewards of working with a diverse patient population. He specializes in Family Medicine, Immediate/Urgent Care, LGBTQ Health, Men’s Health, PREP, Hormone Therapy, Joint and Trigger Point Injections, Shockwave Therapy for joint pain - erectile dysfunction and wound healing, Botox, Fillers and managing diet and exercise as a platform for overall health
Monique is one of our Medical Assistants and a CNA. She has been a MA since 2013 and has worked as John Marquez’s MA since 2017. Monique is currently in school to become a Nurse. Monique’s passion is to care for others, provide patients with a comfortable experience, and help them with their medical needs. She is a Colorado Native, raised in the small towns of Berthoud and Mead Colorado. She loves Arts and Crafts and enjoys spending time with her children.
Gina is the Front Desk Client Care Coordinator at Achieve Health. She has worked with the providers of Achieve Health in Urgent Care and Family Medicine since 2018. Gina has been in customer service for 20+ years working as a receptionist in the dental and medical field and caring for people is what she does best. Gina is a Colorado native born and raised in North Denver who enjoys her time with her children and grandchildren.
Brenda brings 21 years of Geriatric and Family Medicine experience to Achieve Health. She will lead our office team managing clinic operations for the group. Brenda is a graduate of the University of Denver and Cambridge College, and trained at the Arizona Physician Center. In addition, Brenda worked as a clinical research study coordinator for 4 years on various clinical studies in Geriatric Medicine. Brenda volunteers at Catholic Charities of CO, Susan G. Komen Denver Chapter, and Manos Dando Esperanza bone marrow requirement. A Colorado native, in her spare time, enjoys hiking, skiing, swimming, football games, and spending time with her family and friends.
Maria Vera-Medina, is a born and raised Colorado native. She graduated as a Medical Assistant/ X-ray Technician from Heritage College in 2015. In 2016 she worked as a MA for a private family medical practice in Littleton,CO. In 2020 she began working with the Achieve Health providers at Rocky Mountain Family Medicine and Urgent Care. Maria has always had a passion to work in the medical field and to care for people. Maria enjoys spending time with her kids and family. Her favorite outings are fishing and exploring Colorado.
Jen brings over two decades of experience as a medical educator and a broad range of clinical experience across the lifespan to her role at Achieve Health and Colorado Provider Network. Board certified in both Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Jen currently serves as Medical Director of the Red Rocks Community College Physician Assistant Program and teaches in graduate medical education programs at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Her passion for inclusive, equitable, accessible, and patient-centered medical care brought her to Achieve Health. When not at work, Jen loves reading, hiking, camping, making cosplay, and spending time with her blended family of husband and three adult-ish children.
